Making friends as an adult can be harder than anyone prepares you for. Between work, busy schedules, changing seasons of life, and the friendships we may have outgrown, finding new people you genuinely connect with isn’t always easy. And sometimes, being an introvert—or simply feeling a little shy—can make putting yourself out there even harder.
That’s where The Social Introvert comes in.
The Social Introvert is a growing community for women who are looking to make new friends, try new things, and build meaningful connections in a fun, welcoming environment.
We create social experiences throughout the Lansing area that make meeting new people feel a little less intimidating and a lot more fun. From game nights and brunches to themed socials, networking opportunities, and collaborations with local businesses, every event is designed with connection at the heart of it.

Ciya Hawkins
Ciya Hawkins is the founder of The Social Introvert. She created the community to give grown women a softer, safer way to meet new friends, try new experiences, and build genuine connections.
